HI

HIYA PEOPLE!!! I haven't posted since the 16th...of may so HERE IS A SHORT STORY I WROTE ABOUT MAXIMILLIAN ROBESPIERRE!

I have been in power for five months now. My plan is almost complete. All of the traitors in this nation must die. It is my duty. I have dealt with most of the counter revolutionists leaders now. I will never forget three months ago when the committee approved and told the people, “It is time that equality bore it’s scythe above all heads. It is time to horrify the conspirators. So legislatures, place terror on the order of the day! Let us be in revolution, because everywhere counter-revolution is being woven by our enemies. The blade of the law should hover over all the guilty.” The French will believe anything I tell them.
As I sit at my desk and think about what other necessary actions need to be taken one of my informers, Auguste, comes bursting through my office doors. “Sir, sir.” He says while trying to catch his breath.
“What is it Auguste?” I ask half knowing what he already is going to say.
“A group of men by the well were speaking of.” He stopped for a second as I to think about what he was about to say. “They were speaking of leaving because of all the terrors, and saying that if they could, they would start a counter revolution.”
“Well.” I paused. “Who was it?” I demanded.
Auguste gulped before saying, “Emmanuel Roux, Luc Vincent, and Serge Lefevre.”
“Not those trouble makers again.” I said. I waved my hand to dismiss Auguste and he quickly, but quietly left the room. I waited a minute or two before calling the guards to come to my office. They march in single file.
“Yes sir.” They say while bowing to me. I stand up and hey follow.
“There are a few weasels I need you to catch for me.” I said sounding official. The guards waited quietly for me to tell them whom they need to arrest. “They go by the names, Emmanuel Roux, Luc Vincent, and Serge Lefevre. I want them prepared to be executed this after noon.” The guards nodded and quickly pivoted around and followed each other out of my office in a line. I sit back down and look out the window to see the position of the sun. If I’m not mistaken it should be around six a.m.
I call in the postman. He comes in wearing dark blue and white with red details.
“Yes King Maximillian?” He asks.
“Please inform everyone they are to report in front of town hall for another execution at high noon.” I say sternly.
“Right away sir.” He says almost intimidated while turning quickly around and leaving.
I call in some more guards and tell them to get the guillotine set up; and not to forget the basket this time. The one called Raoul looks sheepishly down to his feet. They nod in unison and file out of my office. I stand up and walk out on to the balcony to my right about five feet from where I was sitting. I look out over the railing of the outside structure down to the square of people. Why are there so many traitors in my country? It is almost a shame they are all going to have to die eventually. I laughed to myself before returning into my office. I make a turn to my right and walk over to the white doors. I reluctantly reach forward and open the door. I walk through the hall way making a right, then another right, a left and up the stairs, making my final right turn and walking into the castle part of the town hall that I live in. I walk through the living area and into the bedchambers.
I go over to my clothes and search through for something elegant to wear to the execution. A ruler must always look his best when in front of his people.  I must keep this revolution going. If I don’t. Disaster will strike inevitably.
I get back to my office and start pacing. People come in and out. Before I know it I am being told it is almost time for the execution and I need to go to the main foyer to be readied. I follow my servant down the main stairway into a fabulously decorated foyer filled with art from the renaissance.  I see guards on the right. Twelve at the most. Six of them are holding the prisoners. They look grim. Excitement builds inside before I am handed the royal scepter used before me by all kings. I hear the loud crowd outside having conversations and I know its time.
I stand in front of the main doors and look back to see everyone going into formation. I open the doors and lead the group of people out. Behind me are two guards holding the flag of France. Behind them are four guards that will keep order incase anyone else says anything. And behind them are the three prisoners each being carried out by two guards. WE all file on the platform except the four guards that are to keep order stay on the sides of the platform. I stand in front of my people and the crowd falls silent. I stand in front of them, holding myself high and looking as confident as ever.
“Hello!” I say to the crowd of people. “We are gathered because these three men,” I point to the three men, “Have decided it would be ok to talk about the revolution in a bad way. We all know that isn’t correct right?” I can see the crowd nodding. “Each of them will be brought up and presented to you.” I wave the first man forward.
“This is Luc Vincent. Do you have anything to say to defend yourself?” I ask not giving him time to answer, “No? Good. Guards. Walk him over to the Guillotine.” I say motioning towards the huge wooden structure to my left. The guards walk him over and use their knees to know him down and they correctly place his head on the structure. The executionist looks at me for a sign and I do the smallest head nod and he pulls the lever causing the blade to fall from the top and sever off the head of Luc. A burst of excitement flares up in me, but I hide it as to not break the seriousness in the crowd. The bloodied head falls into the basket and the guards quickly pick the body up and throw it aside, and make their way to the other four guards who are waiting in case they need to calm down the crowd.
I motion the next one forward. “This is Emmanuel Roux. Now do you have anything to say? No? Ok.” I motion for the guards to position him in the guillotine, and the event plays out; and another time. After Serge’s execution I stand before the crowd and say, “Terror is nothing other than justice, prompt, severe, and inflexible.” I pause to let it seep into the crowd’s mind. “You may now proceed with what you need to do.” I pivot on my heels and walk back to town hall with the guards following close behind. We all enter town hall.
A huge smile grows across my face but no one can see it. I am that much closer to the finishing of my plans. I climb the stairs and go back to my office. I am lost in thought until I can go back to my bedchambers for the night.

A FEW MONTHS LATER
It’s April 1794. The revolution is spiraling out of control. Now even my followers are starting to turn on me. I don’t think I can trust the council much longer. They seem to be doubting my motives. I don’t know how much longer I will last being the power figure. I have been getting less and less information on people who are against the revolution which is a sure sign I will be out of the council soon. Before I know Guards burst into the office and hand cuff my hands.
“What’s going on?” I ask annoyed.
“You are under arrest for the unlawful killing of nearly thirty thousand innocent citizens.” They said while getting a grip on my arm.
“Who gave you this order?” I ask just as I said it Pierre Prieur walked in look high and mighty. “You did this to me?” I asked betrayed.
“Why Yes I did. You unlawfully killed those people. The committee noticed it and we were waiting to take action.” He snapped his fingers and the guards took me to the foyer of the town hall. Pierre walks to the front and leads them all out of the town hall and up to the guillotine. There is a huge crowd, as always.
Pierre steps to the front of the Platform and says, “Maximillian has done horrific and unneeded things. He unlawfully killed thirty thousand innocent civilians. It is time for him to get what should have happened months ago.” The guards brought me up to the guillotine and positioned me correctly to be executed. A smile grows across my face and as the blade comes down to my throat all I do is laugh. I laugh and then all at once, everything grows dark.

Chapter 4!

SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG!

I run into the commons, and then into the shopping district, I was running passed the amulet shop when all of a sudden an entrance to…somewhere appeared. I stopped dead in my tracks and turned towards the door. A nice warm breeze blew my auburn hair back behind me. I looked around and everyone was going on with their daily lives like nothing weird was happening. I slowly approached the weird door. There was a weird essence of power, as you got closer. I slowly reached my hand forward while taking another look around and I turned a doorknob. Just as I was about to pull the door open towards me I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I let go of the doorknob and turned to the direction I saw the movement and started walking towards it.
“Hello?” I called hoping for an answer. I heard the bush to my left rustle and I turned quickly and looked around at the trees that made a noise that was similar caused by the wind. Assuming it was my imagination I turned back around and started going back to the door when the rustling got louder, I went back to the bush and moved a couple of branches before seeing the outline of a head. “You can come out. I don’t bite.” Out of the bush came a tall muscular boy about my age. He was a couple of inches taller then me he had golden brown hair that fell right above his mesmerizing eyes that looked and sparkled like sapphires. I was completely speechless; I just looked at him in complete awe.
I started to get butterflies then his quiet deep voice formed the words, “I-I can explain, you looked upset I followed you from the commons to make sure you’re okay, I didn’t mean for it to go this far, I mean a pretty girl like you shouldn’t be that upset.” He kept rambling on.
“Wait, did you just say I’m pretty?” I asked confused.
“Well, I have never seen a girl with those same green eyes that just sparkle when the sun hits it like dew on wet grass in early spring.” He responded looking away to the wall behind me.
“Well,” I was speechless. It was quiet for a minute and I heard the rustling of the trees again.
“I’m sorry I’ll go now.’ He said looking down at his feet and quickly turning around and nearly running away.
“Wait.” I said barely audible. He stopped and turned around. I motioned for him to come back and he made his way back over to where he was. “What’s your name?” I asked.
His eyes lit up, “My name is Anthony. What’s your name?” He asked looking deep into my eyes. I couldn’t help but smile.
“My name is Nicole. “ All of a sudden I heard the sound of wings flapping and I looked up. Hubert. He slowly flew down to the ground next to me. I walked over to Hubert and gave him a pat on the side.
Anthony’s eyes showed he was surprised, “You have a raven?” he asked.
I shook my head yes and added, “I only received him recently.” I trailed off. “Anyways I have to go, Nice meeting you Anthony hopefully I will see you soon!” I said giving him a huge smile. He waved good-bye before walking away.
I led Hubert back to the door that appeared before. It is still there. It is pale tan tile with fern imprints on it that I didn’t notice earlier. I opened the door fully and looked in. I stepped into the portal with Hubert following close behind. I looked down and I was standing in sand. I turned around and the door was gone. I look forward to find a breath-taking ocean. The water was crystal clear, a beautiful shade of aquamarine.
The sun was setting, casting a coral glow across the darkening blue sky. A slight breeze blew again and I bent down to get closer to the sand, and noticed it was tinted pink. The place was seemingly empty. I decided to go explore. I turned away from the blue water and walked farther inland. after about ten minutes of walking a forest of some type came into view. I looked around again and still no one was in sight. I started walking into the forest when I heard a growl.
My heart started racing and I looked around and saw nothing. I walked a little further, nervously and slowly and the initial growl sounded again.  It sounded further away but still very intimidating. I looked above and Hubert was flying high above the trees. He seemed excited about something.
“What do you see Hubert?” I asked, knowing there wouldn’t be an answer. He swooped down and landed in front of me. I shot him a confused look before jumping on his back. He quickly flew up high above the trees and I see what he meant. There was a small village, it was pretty bi but made poorly a little higher in the trees with wood. There were people everywhere. Their outfits were…different.
Men were wearing barely anything, women were wearing long halter dresses, and most of them had their hair on top of their heads.
Hubert and I didn’t know what to think of it. The sky grew a lot darker since we were at the beach, I told Hubert to head back to the beach maybe the door will be there again. He slowly flew his way to the waters edge, and now the sky was a dark oxford blue with bright stars that were like diamonds in the skies. I wish I could just stay here, but Kaitlyn really needed me.  Hubert landed next to the water and the door reappeared. We stepped through the door and we were back in the shopping district.
It was about ten o’clock. I decided to head over to the food section of the shopping district to pick up some food before going home to rest. I stopped in to my favorite restaurant, CafĂ© Cyclopes, and ordered the usual bell pepper salad. I got it in a to-go container then went back outside and Hubert flew us home. I realized I never really found the dinning room, or kitchen for that matter in the new house. I put Hubert in the little, well not little, big fenced in area that consisted a couple toys, and big pile of hay for him to sleep on, and food and water dish. I walked back to the front of the house, past the arena and into the front door.
The front door lead into a room filled with luxurious furniture, a grand piano, and many famous paintings on the walls. I’m guessing this is where grandpa and grandma threw parties I said to my self, giving off a little giggle. I walked straight and there was another door leading to a kitchen that was huge, it had refrigerator and a separate freezer,, counters, sinks,  it’s about the size of two dorm rooms. To my left there was another door, I opened to find led to this extravagant dining hall that can sit at least fifty people on a long polished wood table with painted gold designs in an argyle pattern.
I sat down in one of the chairs and awkwardly ate my salad alone in this huge room. The walls were lined with china cases, filled with china from all over the spiral, there was one that depicted dragons, and lots of fire. I finished my salad in silence before heading back to the main room and up the stairs to my room. Tomorrow I need to face the facts, I need to know what happened with Kaitlyn and, and if she’s going to be ok.

SNEAK PEEK

Chapter...3

When I woke up the sun was just rising. I estimated it was about quarter to six. I look out the window of my new room and the sky is beautiful. It’s a mixture of pink, orange, and red.  I sit up in my bed and rub the sleep out of my eyes. I pull back my flowered green covers and get up. I walk over to my dresser to look for clothes then realize it’s empty. All my clothes were burned. I look at the clothes that I am wearing. They are burned in places and the part on my stomach was burned off but it will do till after I visit Kaitlyn. I walk over to the huge window in my new bedroom and look out in awe. The land surrounding the castle is beautifully decorated with topiaries in shapes of various animals, and they complement the surrounding area. I look a little to my left and see a fire pit with a few logs surrounding it in a circle. I remember mom telling me stories about how grandma and grandpa had the best campfires. Grandpa was fire and he could make the flames go into various shapes while telling ghost stories.
I turn around and open the dark brown wooden door with jet-black hinges that squeaked when moving the door. I ran down various ramps to the second floor  and walked out the door. Outside on the second floor to the left there was the arena, and if you walk around it and up a short ramp you come to the stables where Hubert was held.
“Good morning Hubert!” I said with excitement. He made this weird grunt sound then went over to his food dish and nudged it with his beak. Suddenly understanding the predicament I quickly replied to the grunt, “On the way to the Infirmary we will stop in the shopping district and stop in at the pet shop and see what the vendors have to feed you.” He then leaned down so he was low enough for me to hop on and he began to run down the ramp and spread his wings and took flight. In only a few minutes WizardCity came into sight. We soared over the bazaar in Olde Town and over the small wall separating it from the Shopping District then we started to land and we landed right next to the circular fountain with water shooting everywhere. I jumped off Hubert and patted him.
“Stay here I will be back in a few minutes.” I said. He replied with a reassuring grunt. I then walked along the storefronts along the tan-gray sidewalk stone until I found the store I was looking for. I walked into a light wood door with a window in the middle. The sign has just been changed to open and the store is practically empty except for a few pets and the shop vendor. I turn the handle and push the heavy door forward till it was open enough for me to slip in. the dim lights set an almost ominous glow in the shop. I walked over to the hip tall counter to a shopkeeper with long chocolate brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. He had big round brown eyes the color of his hair, and very pale skin. “Excuse me sir.” I said while brushing hair out of my face.
He looked up unamused and said while rolling his eyes, “What would you like ma’am?”
“I was wondering do you have any food I could feed a Raven.” I said with a blank stare on my face. He rolled his eyes and turned to his left and picked up a giant blue bag with a stunning black raven on it. He lifted it on to the counter and dropped it with a thud.
I placed 250 gold pieces on the counter, “Thanks!” I said while attempting to pick up the giant bag. Half falling half walking out the door I called Hubert over and he saw me struggling. He hurried over and picked the bag up with his beak. I jumped on his back and we flew back over Olde Towne and then we landed on the island. I flicked my wrist and a bowl appeared I poured some food in the bowl and Hubert’s eyes grew two sizes bigger and he dove for the bowl. I quickly jumped out of the way but he accidently knocked me over with his wing.
“Hubert calm down. This isn’t the last time your gonna eat!” I said giggling. He locked up and made his head slant up, signaling he was confused. I patted his side and went over to the portal door a few feet away from where we landed.
“Hubert, I am gonna walk to the Infirmary, When your done meet me outside. Don’t eat too much!” I said using the key to Wizard City and reluctantly walked through the door.  Look at me. I am talking to Ravens. What is wrong with me? As I walked through the other end I was in the decorated green inside of Bartleby, the grandfather tree. I ran straight forward out a little door leading to Ravenwood. I keep walking straight till I get to the commons. I turn to my left and start walking to the entrance to Unicorn Way. I go over Rainbow Bridge and bare left and go through the tunnel. I walk; make a few turns and I am outside the large white building that is the infirmary.
I walk through the doors and I hear tons of beeping and I look around. Everyone, doctors, nurses, volunteers all run to a bed to my left. I look closer and start counting beds and I realize, It’s Kaitlyn’s bed. I run over to where all the people were and I see Kaitlyn lying there, motionless. Her skin was a sickly green and grey color. Her eyes were closed lightly like she just laid down for a nap. I scream her name, but she doesn’t respond. I try calling her name, again, and again. No response. Tears start to pour down my face. Kaitlyn was the last person I have left. I lost my parents; I can’t lose Kaitlyn to.
I start crying so hard my entire face is wet. A doctor sees me and grabs my arm and walks me gently over to some chairs.
“Are you alright Miss?” He asks me. He was an older guy, with kind olive green eyes that remind me of my fathers. I respond by shaking my head no and then pull my legs up on the chair and put my head down in the space that was in between my thin body and my legs. Tears continued to pour down my face..
“What’s wrong?” the man asked.
“That girl over there,” I point to Kaitlyn and continue, “Is my sister. She is my only family left. My parents, they died in that fire in FireCat Ally. We only had each other, and now, she may not even make it. “  I looked up and my hair was in my face blocking my vision. I took my petite hand and brushed the auburn locks out of my face. The man looked at me with concern and he gave me a reassuring pat on my shoulder before getting up and going back over by Kaitlyn. I look over and start to cry even more.  I can’t be here anymore. I look over at Kaitlyn. People are still over crowding her.
I can’t take losing another family member. I-I can’t watch it happen either. I wipe my eyes and stand up. I just start to run. I don’t know where I’m going. I just. Run.

AND NOW! WHAT YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!

SOOOO I finally completely finished my story. I am handing it in tomorrow!! I hope you enjoy and wish me luck!!!

I awoke to a dark gloomy day. Death was in the air in Paris these days. Today is the day my father is being executed. No one will tell me why, they always say I’m “too young” or that I “need to mature first.” I am 12 years old. I am mature.  Every time I am getting close to being told they change the subject. They are holding the execution in the town square to scare people into not making the same mistake he did. I reluctantly got out of my old bed now a mess of a pale yellow comforter and a thin pink pillow. I slowly made my way down the corridor lined with two cement walls about three feet apart. I walked into the kitchen, “Bonjour Mama.” I said, discovering my mom pounding the remaining grain to be made into bread.
“Bonjour Abigail.” She replied not looking up from her hands now creating dough on the countertop before her. I noticed worry lines had started to form since yesterday.
“Mama, why is he being executed? What did he do?” I cautiously asked hoping for an answer. She stopped what she was doing and turned swiftly around. A tear rolled down her cheek, but she wiped it away quickly hoping I didn’t see.
She reluctantly answered, ”You aren’t old enough to know yet. I just want you to know, he didn’t do anything wrong. Your father is a good man. He just speaks his opinions.” She said this without looking directly at me, avoiding eye contact, my heart dropped.
“But mama I am old enough to know!” I said obliviously.

“No you aren’t you are only twelve!” She said while turning back around and continuing what she was doing. I thought I heard a sob but I could have imagined it. Too upset to ask any more questions I bolted out of the kitchen and to the front door. I stepped out my old creaky wooden door, which shut abruptly behind me and startled me a bit. We were bakers. We lived on the border where peasant land turns into noble land. I looked around at the busy streets to see shoppers with shopping bags running in and out of stores, people in a hurry carrying baked goods in little brown boxes, and people in such expensive things I have only dreamed of having.
I turned to my left and started walking along the cobblestone street. I dodged worried people lost in their own worlds. Everyone is worried now a day. With Maximillian, Oh my bad, I mean King Maximillian, in charge anyone who thinks badly of anything in anyway, gets sent to the guillotine. While walking I turned down a small alley, which is a short cut to Marie’s house, and I nearly bump into a guard. He has a miniature Guillotine that they all carry around now. He had it on the ground and is wrestling a man with dark black hair and a dirty slender face. His vibrant blue eyes were sending out help signals. I stood there frozen, scared to move.
The guard turned his head for a minute and saw me. He had a small mustache about the length of his small thin mouth. He had a nearly flat face except for his nose that had a bump in the middle. His dark chocolate brown eyes were stern but also kind at the same time.
“What are you doing here child!? Get out of here!” he screamed. To scared to protest I obediently turned around and ran back in the direction I was originally going. I stopped after a block or two to catch my breath and then calmly start walking again. My long curly brown hair fell astray from my pigtails and now were down to my belly button tangled together. Still breathing heavily I turn to my left and passed a few shops.
I over hear two women talking about something, “They say he is going to do it every Tuesday now” one woman said.
The other one replied in a surprised tone, “If he does it every Tuesday, he is gonna run out of reasons why; then there will be no one else to be sent to the guillotine.” The first woman nodded in agreement and that’s all I heard before they were out of sight and earshot. The streets were starting to empty out so I started to walk a little faster. As I was rounding the corner onto Marie’s block I slipped on some water and nearly fell into a puddle. I caught myself and only my hands got wet. Trying to make sure the tip of my pink floral dress didn’t get wet I slowly got up. I walked passed a few small houses made out of a dark red brick until I made it to the rather large house that Marie lived in.
I walked up to her door and knocked lightly. A little girl about shoulder height opened the door. She had a petite face and a small toothless smile. “Bonjour Caroline!” I exclaimed getting a little closer and pinching her cheek lightly. She giggled and walked in motioning me to follow as I walked on to the wooden floor of their house.
“MAR-RY” Caroline said trying to pronounce Marie’s name correctly. Marie came out giggling.
“Good job Caroline! You’re getting closer every day!” Marie said patting Caroline’s head that has a tiny curled blonde hair upon it. Caroline giggled and then waddled away toward another room. Marie’s light blonde hair that shined like sunshine was down to her waist. Her hair was super straight with a light tan color that shows up every once in awhile. She had grey eyes that looked like storm clouds, piercing straight at you with rose-colored lips and a small petite nose.
“Mom!” Marie yelled, “Abigail is here!” She then proceeded to walk towards me and hug me. Marie’s mom came out of the room Caroline walked in to. She was a little on the large side. A blue flowered dress hung down to her knees. Her golden blonde hair was about shoulder length.
“Bonjour Abigail.” Marie’s mother said.
“Bonjour Mrs. Dumont. How are you?” I asked sweetly.
“I am busy. Besides that I am doing well. Business is getting better and better. Less time to spend with Marie and Caroline. Luckily I have such a great daughter who helps me take care of Caroline.” She replied smiling at Marie.
Marie blushed, “Ok mom, Abigail and I are going to talk in my room.” She said. Her mom nodded understanding. Marie grabbed my hand and led me down a hallway to her room. Her room opened up. It was rather large, but plain and simple. She led me over to her bed where she had three dresses laid out.
“I don’t know what one I should wear! There are too many to choose from! How did you pick such a perfect dress?” Marie was saying very fast. She was referring to my simple pink dress that had a darker pink flower pattern on it, and white sleeves that puffed out. Marie kept going on and on, “It makes your green and hazel eyes pop! Seriously how did you pick the right one.”? She continued.
“Slow down Marie.” I said with a giggle. She stopped pacing around the room and talking and just gave me a look of thankfulness.  I walked over to her bed and looked at the dresses she laid out for her to possibly wear. I picked up one that was a dark green that would go to about her knees. She looked at it and her eyes lit up. “See! You did it again! Picked out the perfect dress!” She said this excitedly while walking over to her closet to change in it. I sit down on her bed and in a minute or two she came out fully dressed and smoothing down the dress.
She looked up and asked, “Can you braid my hair?” I shook my head yes and patted the bed in front of me. She walked over and sat down, her back facing me, and her legs on her bed crisscrossing. I take her thick blonde hair and start weaving her hair into a perfect braid.
“Done.” I said after about ten minutes.
“Thanks Abigail.” She said then cringed back, “Now what are we going to do with your hair?”
I laughed; “I forgot about that!” huge grins grew across our faces as we burst out laughing. I took out the dark pink ribbons tying my hair back, and all my thick hair came down. I pulled all of my hair over my right shoulder and started braiding it intricately.
“Better!” Marie said with a sigh of relief. “Abigail. How do you feel about your father being killed?”
Everything drained from my face. I felt myself getting paler. Just as I was about to answer Mrs. Dumont walked in.
“Girls we need to start heading to Town Square it’s time for the execution.” She said grimly. I closed my eyes as a tear rolled down my cheek. I didn’t wipe it I let it fall. This is the last time I am going to see my father, and it is going to be of him headless. Mrs. Dumont walked into the room where I walked in, with Marie and I trailing right behind her. She walks over to Caroline and picks her up and settles her on her own hip. She heads to the front door and opens it.
“Let’s go girls.” She holds the door open and moves out of the way for Marie and I to go out. We start heading to our right. We can see the crowds of people exiting houses, shops, business, and heading in the same direction we are. Everyone was to attend the executions. All of our heads were held low, some people who knew my dad were crying. After walking straight for quite a bit of time we made it to a huge opening where crowds of people started forming. We got relatively close to the front.
There was a bunch of wood stacked next to the guillotine, creating a platform. All of a sudden you hear a horn sound and a group of soldiers came marching from the castle in front of us; six on each side. The last two soldiers were dragging my father in chains. His face was thinner and paler from the lack of food and sunlight in the dungeon. Last being carried in, what looks like a couch, was Maximillian Robespierre. The soldier’s split and the last walked over to the back of the guillotine. Maximillian used a scepter that was made out of solid gold with a sparkling red ruby on top. He banged it against his makeshift platform to get everyone’s attention.
Everyone fell silent.
“Hello my loyal subjects! Today we are all gathered to see the execution of AndrĂ© Fortier. Does anyone know why he is being executed?...No one? He wanted to start a counterrevolution. We all know how bad that is right? Right. You may think we will go easy on you. We have no mercy. If you want to try and change the way things are going. Know the consequences. Now before AndrĂ©’s head is gone, does anyone want to defend him?”
Before I had time to think my mouth opened and I screamed, “I do!” The confidence in my voice scared even me. You heard a joint gasp from the people around me and Marie’s face was struck with horror.
Out of nowhere I hear a scream, “No! Abigail! She didn’t mean it! She’s only a child!” It was my mom. I tried to swallow but a lump has formed in my throat.
“Ah, So you have something against this execution my dear?” He said this trying to be sweet but you could tell he was faking, “Guards! Arrest her!” two of the guards that filed in before, began walking towards me. My feet were seemingly glued to the ground; I stood there motionless and scared. People around me started crying. You can hear the clank of the armor hitting against each other, metal against metal. Before I knew it two arms attached mine to chains then started pulling me backward. A scream escaped my mouth.
As I was dragged passed the guillotine, I saw the long angular blade fall down. I heard the blade penetrate through the skin, and the bones crack as my father’s head fell off. Blood everywhere. It exploded out of his body to leave just a body, no head, covered in blood. You see the rugged broken skin from where the blade cut. All of a sudden I hear the sound of something landing from a fall. I look at the ground around me and too my right I find a head, my father’s head.
His dark sea green eyes were wide open, staring at me as I am being dragged. His head has blood everywhere, his hair, what used to be blonde is now mixed with the ruby red color of his blood. I could hear my heels drag along the cobblestone road. People tried protesting my arrest, or were even chasing after me, but the guards ignored them and continued bringing me back in the direction the originally came. After about a minute I was brought through a doorway into a dark room. The door closed loudly behind my freedom.

Thx for all the support!

Chapter 2! (enjoy)

I walk out of the infirmary doors into nice cool air of Unicorn Way. I walk along the sidewalks of the yellow and green arrow-patterned road that end at Unicorn Park.  I walk across the bridge over a small brook to a circular park area with a huge unicorn statue in the center on its hind legs standing on a pedestal. I look around at all the children playing around with each other and adults sitting around talking and all of a sudden a shadow casted over Unicorn Park.  I look around in panic, and everyone else just goes on with what they were doing as if nothing was wrong. Do they realize they could be in danger? I start to run across the bright green grass of the park. I can hear it crush beneath my feet as I run. Just as I am about to run past the unicorn statue a purple raven with red patches swoops down and picks me up by my arms. I try to scream but no sound will come out. I look above to find a masked driver. Through the mask all you can see is his mysterious brown and gold eyes. I tried to scream again and began to squirm as we headed towards the arena. Finally the driver pulls off his mask to reveal his huge smile and tan skin. It was Austin Swifthorn.
“Oh, Nikki calm down. It was only a joke.” He said choking back a laugh.

“AUSTIN! Why did you do this? I need to go to the headmaster because I need to discuss to him about getting a dorm.”
Concerned filled Austin’s eyes. “Why do you need a dorm? Don’t you live with your parents?” he asked.
I looked at him as tears filled my eyes, “My parents died. Only Kaitlyn and I survived the fire in our house. We have no home anymore.”
Austin looked ahead ashamed before replying, “Oh, sorry to hear that. I-I didn’t know. I’ll take you to the headmaster’s house. You’ll get there a lot faster riding my raven.”
“Thanks Austin. “ I said trying to smile.

The rest of the ride was silent. We glided over the huge wall that separates Unicorn way from The Commons area. We glided across houses and the pond in the middle of The Commons and landed in the headmaster’s front yard. Austin slid off his Raven and said, “Here we are the headmaster’s house.”
Thank you so much Austin,” I said walking over to him and giving him a huge hug. We stopped hugging and Austin Jumped back onto his raven and flew away. I turned towards the front of the house and walked to the front door. The house was like a castle with banners of every school along the top. It was made of grey bricks. I knocked on the door and heard someone yell. “Come on in!”
I reluctantly reached my petit hand to the doorknob on a brown door with a circular stained glass window that had a spiral pattern on it. I turned the handle and pushed the door open to find a room filled with wizards who were starting school and were turning in quests. The headmaster was standing next to his desk that was piled high with papers and trinkets of all sorts. Behind his desk were more stacks of paper.
“What do you need young lady?” The headmaster said making his way over to me.
“Well..um..I need a dorm for me and my little sister.” I said quietly. The headmaster ran over to his desk and went through a few papers before coming back over to me.
“Here take a seat.” He said pointing to a couch made of wood with red cushions on it. I walked slowly over and he added, “Nicole, did you ever meet your grandparents?”
I shook my head no and answered,” No, they died a month before I was born.”

He shook his head before saying, “well they left you their estate for when you needed it. Would you like to live there instead of a dorm?”
I looked up at him in astonishment. I shook my head yes. He got up and walked over to his brown desk and went into the top right draw and pulled out a key that was purple with yellow lightning bolts on it. He walked back over and said, “Here is the key to you estate. It’s on an island off the side of old town. They also left you a purple raven to ride. It should bring you to the island. He is back around in the stables here let me take you to him. His name is Hubert. After he meets you, all you have to do is call his name and he will come pick you up.”
A grin grew across my face as I said, “Thank you! So much!” He shook his head and then motioned for me to follow. We headed out a back door to a stable filled with all kinds of trained animals. There were ostriches, hippogriffs, tigers, lions, panthers, fairy wings, you name it, it was probably there. Out of all of them on really stood out to me. It was a raven that was purple and on its wings were dark blue stripes. Before I knew it the Headmaster called it over.
“This is your Raven.” He said not really caring.

Amazement was in my eyes. It was the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. It had mesmerizing dark blue eyes that seemed inviting but also cold.
“Thanks so much Ambrose.” I said. He nodded and walked back to his castle. I walked over to the raven and petted its head. It acted like it has known me forever. I reluctantly walked over to its side and jumped up on top of him. He immediately flew up into the blue sky and over the wall to the Shopping District. I saw people below look up in amazement. We flew over another wall too Olde Town. I have never felt so alive. I felt adrenaline pulsing through my veins. It was amazing, and thrilling being so high above the ground. I felt like I could do anything, be anything.
All of a sudden Hubert started flying slower. A small island started to come into view. Upon it was a huge castle. Bigger then the headmasters. It had a huge area of grass surrounding the entire castle. Then there was a moat. There was a drawbridge leading to an arena on the right and on the left a series of ramps leading to random doors into the castle. I can’t believe I went from nothing to this. Kaitlyn is going to be so surprised!
